Dr. Axel Karamercan, International Institute for Hermeneutics, University of Edinburgh
Axel Karamercan’s philosophical work is situated at the intersection of hermeneutics, phenomenology, and existentialism. His area of specialization is Martin Heidegger’s topological thought of place, language, poetry, and dwelling. His research interests include the later Wittgenstein, Asian philosophies, Turkish philosophy, philosophy of technology, philosophy of education, and Emily Dickinson’s poetry.
